Branches Sunday School will be starting in October this year. Our program, led by Jess Stock, Bobbi Jo Haverly and Kelly Etherton, will be a mix of online activities, as well as an interactive student notebook, family dinner table questions and hopefully other activities that will be safely arranged in person, according to all Covid 19 requirements. However, there will be no Sunday morning classes due to safety restrictions at this time.
We ARE planning an open house and kick off on October 4th at 3 pm--students can pick up a special Branches swag bag full of needed supplies for the year, and our teachers will be available to help sign up (if you have not yet done so) and teach families how to use the new "Bitmoji" classrooms on their computers.

Families will also be asked to contribute to our Prayer Tree outside the front of the church where we will hang our prayers for our community to see and share.

You can Come to Church Again!!

Effective June 7th, Gov. Cuomo is allowing houses of worship to open at 25% building capacity, which, at St. John's, means that up to 60 people can attend a single church service.

  • Services on Sundays are at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Wednesday services are at noon.

Drive-by Communion willcontinue to be available on from 10:15 - 10:45 a.m. each Sunday at this time, or you can choose to make an appointment for 'Porch Church' with Mother Laurie instead.
Please note the requirements for attending church in person:

  • Masks are required
  • Social Distancing must be maintained (you'll see how we manage that in church when you arrive)
  • Communion is in one kind only (bread)
  • Attendance sheets are also required in case we need to do Contact Tracing.

See YOU in church!!!

Service of Compline, 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays

Compline is the final prayer service of the day and it means "completion", which refers to the end of the day. It is a brief and comforting service that anyone can say at home on their own, but we thought it would be especially comforting to say it together if possible during our time of self-isolation.  You can use the Book of Common Prayer at home if you have one and turn to page 127, or the pdf of Compline is found here.

The service will be braodcast using Facebook Live on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. You DO NOT need a facebook page to access this since St. John's has a public page. To connect to the facebook page, click here:
St. John's Facebook page

Simply add your prayer requests during the service by submitting it to the Comments section at the bottom of the live stream. We can then add your concerns and thanksgivings to that evening's service.
